Bucket list for my last year as a twenty something

Nearing the ripe ol’ age of 30 has made me reflect on what I’ve experienced and achieved so far and what else I want to cram in to the last year of my twenties. If you’re in the same position or just looking for some inspiration, here is my bucket list for my last year as a twenty something, in no particular order.

Give up smoking

Which will have the knock on effect of becoming healthier, more eco-friendly and saving more money for the more important things I enjoy like TRAVELLING!

Plan and start an adventure of a life time

I’ve regretted not taking a gap year straight after school, but better late than never and I’m doing it now!

Quit my 9-5 and create a new career, whatever that might be, maybe blogging full-time!

I’m hoping this will have the biggest effect and really provide me with the opportunity of finding a career I truly enjoy rather than one that just pays the bills.

Live more simply

I’ve started doing this in some ways, but really I’d like start to reduce more waste, recycle more, find more environmentally alternatives, and generally consume less.

Visit New York

This is already in the diary for my friend’s 30th birthday and I cannot wait!

Spend Christmas and New Year in another Country

I’ve wanted to do this for so long, and this is the year. My sister and I will be spending it in the beautiful Bahamas. Check back soon for more blog posts on what to see and do there.

Finish a Photography Course

This has recently just begun, I’ll be sharing some of my learning along the way and hopefully be using more of my own photography throughout the blog.

Express more gratitude and become more charitable

I’d like to be able to give more back, so I’ve kicked things off with Sober October, raising money for Macmillan Cancer Trust, and instead of receiving Christmas gifts I will be asking for donations which I intend to give to the RSPCA. I’m also planning on undertaking some voluntary work whilst travelling next year.

So that’s it, a lot of my bucket list ideas aren’t about acquiring possessions, but adopting a healthier lifestyle and way of being. Learning, experiencing new places, and taking big steps in the right direction.
